A great-value budget option in the heart of Barcelona, TOC Hostel sits a ten-minute walk from Plaça Catalunya with Universitat metro just two minutes away and plenty of bars, restaurants and supermarkets on the doorstep.

SOHO offers a pretty good breakfast buffet that includes fresh fruit and juices, pastries, breads, eggs, sausages, etc. A great value-for-money option. Staff are helpful and friendly.

Located in the heart of the gay district (steps away from Open Mind cruise club and Sauna Casanova), the Acevi Villaroel is close to historical sights in Barcelona as well as the Urgell metro station.

A mid-range Barcelona hotel we'd recommend to any gay traveler. Hotel Market is strategically located, next to San Antonio Market, 15 minutes’ walk from Plaza Catalunya and within 15 minutes to all the gay bars in Eixample.

An airport shuttle bus stop is just 2 minutes' walk away. Very good value for money.

BCN Hotels del Comte is located right in the Eixample gay area and just a short walk from Urgell metro station. The lively La Rambla and a wide choice of restaurants and shops are within easy access.

We love this luxury boutique hotel on Barcelona's famous La Rambla street - right next to the Gothic Quarter.

Behind the original façade of what was the historic palace of El Regulador is an über-cool hotel with 31 uniquely styled rooms. The modern guest rooms & suites (which we can confirm have been soundproof) feature very comfortable beds, beautiful bathroom, flat screen TV, iPod dock, laptop-sized safe, WiFi.

The hotel's restaurant Bistrot El Regulador is worth a special mention, as is the rooftop bar (that served us excellent cocktails), swimming pool and sun terrace.

Want to stay near the Mar Bella gay beach? The Lugaris Beach Hotel is going to be difficult to beat, as it is just a 2-minute walk away.

The famous El Poblenou walking street is also just moments away, with its huge choice of really good cafés and restaurants (much better value than in the city centre). There is a bus stop nearby for getting into the city centre, or you can walk for 10 minutes to the metro.

The hotel has just 20 large, modern air-conditioned apartments, each with kitchenette, washer & dryer, WiFi, Nespresso coffee maker. Some have great sea views.

The H10 Metropolitan is located next to Catalunya Plaza, near the metro station and a few minutes’ walk from the fashionable Passeig de Gracia and La Rambla.

Set in the heart of the Eixample gay district, this four-star superior hotel is a two-minute walk from Provença metro and within easy reach of Gaudí's masterpieces on Passeig de Gràcia. The gay nightlife is around a ten-minute walk away.

Our favorite budget hotel Curious is located just moments away from La Rambla and within walking distance from the Eixample gay village.

The hotel offers modern, stylishly decorated rooms with en suite bathrooms, air conditioning, satellite LCD TV's and free WiFi. Friendly service, good breakfast and very affordable.

Hotel Sansi Diputacio is in perfect location, within 5 minutes' walk to La Rambla, the gay bars and many shops and restaurants. Arena CLASSIC gay dance club is just across the street.

The Eixample gay nightlife can be reached in 10 minutes. The nearby Passeig de Gracia metro station provides easy access to other parts of Barcelona.

Just north of the Eixample gay village on the edge of the Gràcia district, Generator is a design-led hostel a short walk from Passeig de Gràcia and two metro stations, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants right on the doorstep. Sauna Barcelona is also nearby.

The Pullman is perfect if you're looking for a 5-star hotel that's within comfortable walking distance of the Mar Bella gay beach (a 15-minute walk along the promenade).

One of the newest Mandarin Oriental hotels, located in the heart of Barcelona's shopping district - close to sightseeing attractions and just 10 minutes' walk from the Eixample gay quarter.

To say this hotel is highly stylised would be an understatement. Indeed, the interior spaces are quite spectacular. Even the walk from the entrance to reception is an experience.

Guest rooms are strikingly modern with just subtle hints to the Mandarin's heritage. Not huge, but they offer all the luxurious comforts, and you can expect a flawless service from arrival to departure.

The recently renovated NH Gran Hotel Calderón enjoys a very convenient location in central Barcelona, next to Plaza de Catalunya and close to the Eixample gay village.

The hotel is popular with gay travelers all year around, but particularly during the August party season.

The NH features a swimming pool, sun terrace and fitness centre. Guests can also take advantage of free WiFi. Plenty of shops and fashion outlets nearby.
