Women’s Week Provincetown 2026

Women’s Week Provincetown returns in October 2026 for one of the biggest LGBTQ+ women’s celebrations in the USA. The main week runs from October 12–18, with events beginning October 9, bringing thousands of women to P-town for a packed programme of parties, live performances, comedy, art, outdoor activities and community events.

One of the biggest lesbian events in the USA

Women’s Week is a huge part of Provincetown’s LGBTQ+ calendar, with more than 300 events spread across the town. It is less a single festival than a week when P-town’s bars, restaurants, galleries and performance spaces come alive with LGBTQ+ women.

The programme covers everything from comedy and music to art, literature, brunches, parties and sporting events, so there is plenty happening beyond the nightlife. 

What happens during Women’s Week?

Previous programmes have featured live performances from comedians, musicians, opera singers, actresses and authors, alongside group hikes, whale watching, dune tours and sporting tournaments. Daily brunches, parties and events such as Dyke Drag Brunch add plenty of opportunities to meet other visitors and locals.

Women’s Week has a strong creative side, reflecting Provincetown’s long-standing reputation as an arts destination. Expect gallery events, readings, performances and comedy alongside the parties, with local artists and LGBTQ+ performers playing a major role in the week.

It is not all bars and dance floors. Women’s Week also includes outdoor activities around Cape Cod, from hiking and whale watching to dune excursions and sporting events. It is an easy way to see a different side of Provincetown between the evening events.

Where should I stay?

Provincetown gets particularly busy during Women’s Week, so booking accommodation early is a good idea. Staying around the centre of town puts you close to Commercial Street, LGBTQ+ bars, restaurants, galleries and many of the event venues, making it easy to get around without a car.
