The Secret Garden

I went in had one drink went then out for a smoke and at 22:40 I aparently look too drunk to go in again. Never experienced anything like this before.

If you are alone and elderly, you are not allowed to sit in the outdoor dining area at the front but are directed inside the room or on the shady gable of the house What a strange attitude in a gay place. Luckily there are more places that like my pink money

If you're not white, you look drunk according to the bouncer! Apparently this is the same experience as the many other reviewers! I hate this place, disrespectful staff and bouncers, they ruined not only my night but my living experience in Sweden. I'm so sorry to see such a people still exist!

Recently came to this bar with my boyfriend, the staff was really nice and most of the guys look hot, the food was reasonably good and the cocktails amazing, due to COVID they are very strict with the sitting arrangement and make sure the guest follow the authorities recommendations.

Since very young I haven´t experienced this rude service in at any gay bar and I have experiences from many places in European cities and New York. The door men try to make you feel like entering the poshest place at Stureplan but the place wont reward you when you enter there. Sadly I have had this experience not just once. Stockholm is great city for culture, shopping and walking around. In most places the service is excellent but you don´t feel it here. Quite frankly the gay night life is seen way too fast in this city and it´s very sad since Stockholm is very gay friendly otherwise. In this place you feel that its bad that your a foreigner and just visiting city, again the only place in this city to feel so.

The Secret Garden is an interesting place. During the week its a lounge bar with lots of outdoor seating, a front bar, and hidden seating in the back thats good for quiet conversations. On the weekend it gets busy. All the tables out front were full and the front bar opened up to a dance floor. On the weekends the basement club also opens. The basement looks like it was carved out of rock and looks like a cave. Overall Secret Garden has 3 bars. Its located in the well populated and pedestrian area of Gamla Stan. It was a couple blocks from the train station which made it easy to get home. Drinks were average and about the same you'll find all over Scandinavia. The crowd was on the younger side 40 and under. I would highly recommend The Secret Garden!

Security staff is all over the place and annoying guests with stupid questions about alcohol intake, examining eyes if you have been taking drugs etc. Very rude and specially targeting guests with dark hair. So, when you have come for a pleasant evening with friends, you end up very dissapointed. Avoid Secret Garden.

3 Dance floor and open to 03:00

I have rarely experienced a bar being more rude than this one - rude guards, rude service personnel etc. And add to that a terrible kitchen... Embarrassing for Stockholm that this place is even marketed as a go-to-place for the gay community!

If you love food this is the best place to go - they have a delicious, fresh menu that is to die for. Lots of space to relax, unwind and meet new guests - especially outside on the gorgeous sun terrace. At night the place becomes a great party hot spot. I loved it.
