Portland Gay Bars

Catering to the local bears, daddies, leather fans and friends, EAGLE Portland hosts various weekly events including uniform/underwear parties, karaoke, BBQ, move screenings and dance parties with DJ, etc.

EAGLE also hosts fundraisers which benefit the Portland LGBT community. Outside the bar, you'll find a cosy seating area - a perfect spot to spend a summer afternoon or a breezy evening.

Silverado has been part of Portland’s gay scene for almost 35 years, first as Flossie’s beneath one of the city’s old bathhouses before becoming a dedicated gay men’s nightclub. Since 2018, it has operated from a modern space near the Pearl District and Old Town, with two bars under one roof.

Downstairs runs as the nightclub, with male dancers, private dances, a modern sound system, and an intimate underground setting. Upstairs is quieter, with pool, six video poker machines, live Keno, and a full bar and kitchen. At what other club can you get a steak cooked to your liking?

On the calendar, there's Karaoke Mondays, Amateur Nights, leather and kink events, and Slay Sundays. Most of these events are hosted by the fab resident drag queen Sheniqua Volt, with tunes by DJ Snow. 

Stag PDX is a gentleman's club, geared towards an LGBT crowd. They host popular events like Drag me to Stag Brunch, as well as other drag shows regularly.

The interiors are rustic chic and the cocktails are creative, so it's a fab place to spend the night! They also have local spirits if that's more your fancy.

A popular Portland establishment, Darcelle XV Showplace is a great bar and nightclub if you're after amazing drag performances.

The venue's namesake Darcelle XV is a legend on the Portland entertainment and drag scene, and is the "oldest working drag queen" at 90. Along with drag nights, this venue hosts pageants and serves a great range of food. For more information, take a look at their website.

Escape Bar & Grill is a queer-friendly neighbourhood sports bar in NE Portland. It has a large lesbian clientele and a packed calendar of things to do. Karaoke runs Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, while the weekly schedule also includes Drag King Bingo, Music Bingo, Dykes on Bikes Bingo, and trivia.

The kitchen makes everything from scratch, so food can take a little longer but regulars say it’s worth the wait. Happy hour runs every day from 3–6pm, and the bar serves playful specialty cocktails alongside its pub grub.
