    Palawan

    Palawan

The province of Palawan in the Philippines comprises 1,780 islands with over 2,000 km of coastline, many beautiful white sandy beaches and the UNESCO World Heritage Site – the Tubbataha Reefs National Marine Park.

The main island is 425 km long and 40 km at its widest point. It is home to the province capital of Puerto Princesa, widely recognised as the Philippines’ cleanest city.

At the north end of Palawan province is the Calamianes Islands that offer an abundance of adventure holiday activities both on land, above and below the sea.

    Gay Scene

Although Palawan does not have a specific gay scene, its beautiful scenery and beaches attract many gay travelers each year. There are several gay-owned bars, restaurants and LGBT-owned businesses on the island, particularly in Puerto Princesa and El Nido.
