Sin City Classic

Head to Las Vegas for the Sin City Classic, the largest annual LGBTQ+ sporting event in the world, running January 14 to 17, 2027. This edition marks the festival's 20th anniversary, bringing together an expected 10,000 athletes and allies across more than 20 sports over four days of competition and social events.

What to expect

Sin City Classic runs everything from softball and soccer to pickleball, with divisions split by skill level so athletes of any ability can compete. Days are built around games and tournaments, with a full slate of social events and parties running alongside the competition each night. The festival falls the same weekend as Hustlaball, so Las Vegas runs busier than usual for LGBTQ+ visitors across the whole weekend.

History and legacy

The Sin City Classic was founded in 2008 by the Greater Los Angeles Softball Association (GLASA), a Los Angeles-based nonprofit sports organization. It has grown every year since into the largest LGBTQ+ sporting event anywhere, now working with more than twenty LGBTQ+ sports league partners to run the full program.

Getting there and staying

For its 20th anniversary, the festival moves to a new host hotel complex at Horseshoe Las Vegas and Paris Las Vegas, two connected properties where most of the festival's events take place. The Flamingo remains available for athletes who've stayed there before, with limited rooms also offered at Caesars Palace and Planet Hollywood. Booking through the Sin City Classic site directly comes with free parking and a discounted resort fee, and rooms fill up fast given the event's scale.

Team and individual registration for most sports opens well ahead of the event, with early sign-up recommended since spots fill before the festival itself. Because the weekend overlaps with Hustlaball, it's worth booking accommodation early regardless of which event brings you to town.
