Beirut Gay Dance Clubs

POSH is a buzzing club and it's often packed. It represents a major breakthrough for gay people in Lebanon. It tends to be busiest on Saturdays. Expect to hear a mix of pop, electro and Arabic music. You'll need to observe the "no kissing policy" - if you want to get freaky you'll have to get a room.

Although not officially a gay club, B 018 attracts a gay crowd. Expect EDM and different themed nights - 80s night! International DJs play at weekends. B 018 is something of a meeting place for Beirut's youth, queer scene and those of a generally liberal persuasion.

The space is quite spectacular - it was designed by Bernard Khoury. The founder, Naji Gebran, believed that music would bring Lebanon back together after the terrible civil war. It became hugely popular. Naomi Campbell has been spotted at B 018. It's considered to be one of the best clubs in the world.

Ego is a gay after-party that takes place at Projekt Beirut after POSH closes. The action kicks off around 3 am - this is very much an establishment for dedicated disco dollies. Expect EDM and drunk gays dancing.
