Amsterdam Lesbian Bars & Clubs

Bar Buka is a lesbian and queer bar in Amsterdam’s De Pijp neighborhood focused on creating a relaxed, welcoming space for women and anyone who values a queer-friendly crowd. There’s no dress code or strict door policy, just an easygoing bar where everyone can be themselves.

The walls of the bar feature rotating art from women in the community, from paintings and photos to poems and drawings, with artists encouraged to host informal gatherings to share their work.

B'Femme is a cozy bar for lesbians in the gay district of Reguliers. The front of the bar has a special stained glass decor that shows city views while the back is filled with comfortable seating for customers. 

Opened in 1927 by Bet van Beeren (a motorcycle-riding lesbian), Cafe ’t Mandje was the first gay & lesbian bar in Netherlands and one of the first in the world.

Closed in 1982, but restored and re-opened in 2008. The walls are filled with mementos and old photos, and you'll find the bar staff have plenty of anecdotes and juicy stories to tell.

Mixed crowd, but mainly frequented by older gays and gals.
