The Sun Trapp has spacious interiors, affordable beer in mason jars, and country music from the retro jukebox. The venue also hosts themed parties such as karaoke, drag, and Latin nights. This is the longest-running LGBT+ bar in Salt Lake City and has been voted to be Utah's number one gay bar. There are live DJs on Friday and Saturday. The Sun Trapp has created a vibrant nightlife for over 50 years and is known to be a safe space for the gay community, not only at night but also during the day when they have their book club.
