Jetset Underground

Jetset Underground is a small LGBTQ+ bar and dance club on East Hennepin, known for strong drinks, weekend DJs and a more intimate feel than Minneapolis’ bigger gay clubs.

The venue is a reboot of the original Jetset, which spent 17 years in the North Loop before reopening in its current underground space in 2022. The new version keeps the same stylish, slightly offbeat character, with a compact dance floor, low lighting and a crowd that tends to skew younger and more mixed than some of the city’s traditional gay male bars.

Friday and Saturday are the main nights, when DJs take over and the space shifts from cocktail bar to full-on dance party. Music leans toward pop, dance and club favourites, and because the room is relatively small, it gets lively quickly.

Jetset Underground is a good choice if you want something less sprawling than Gay 90s or The Saloon, with more of a neighborhood-party feel and a late-night crowd.
