The W Bogotá is effortlessly chic and wonderfully over the top. It could be a James Bond villain's pleasure palace. The lobby is decorated with gold, as are the bathrooms and the beds even have gold leather pillows. The W Hotel chain is a great choice for luxury travelers who appreciate elegance and eccentricity.
It's located in the Usaquén neighbourhood, formerly haciendas and farmland, now it's full of highrises and trendy restaurants. The nightlife of Zona Rosa is a 40-minute drive away, as are the gay bars of Chapinero.
The legend of El Dorado once drew many intrepid Europen's to the Americas. They could well have been looking for the W Bogotá.
