The gay-popular Sofitel Phnom Penh is strategically located in the old French Quarter and has been modelled loosely in Colonial style. It features a decent-sized pool and well-equipped gym.
Guest rooms feature large bathrooms and exceptionally comfortable beds. All the hi-tech stuff is there but largely hidden out of sight. The breakfast buffet is excellent, and there's a really good Italian restaurant onsite.
The Sofitel is less than 10 minutes away to major attractions by tuk-tuk. Hatha Khmer massage spa can be reached in about 5 minutes.
