Sofitel Montevideo is a historic, Belle Époque building. It was a major retreat for the local elite back in the 20s. The hotel is located in the Carrasco neighbourhood. It's surrounded by upscale homes and restaurants.
Following a major restoration project, Sofitel Montevideo has returned to its former glory. It's one of the most desirable hotels in town. Check out the iconic Philip Stark designed horse lamps in the bouji reception area. The suites at the Sofitel offer incredible views over the Ramblas beachfront.
The rooms are very stylish and the bathrooms feature marble walk-in showers.
