Media Luna Hostel is located in the Getsemaní district, just a short walk to the walled old town. There are many bars and restaurants in the local area, including Cartagena's small gay scene.
This hotel is an excellent option if you're looking to do Cartagena on a budget. Rooms can go for as little as $7 per night - they're practically giving them away.
If you're looking for a quiet stay then this isn't for you. Media Luna is always bustling with backpackers, gap year youths, etc. It's great if you like a party atmosphere.
You can share a room in a dorm or book out one of the smaller rooms if you'd like some privacy.
