It's half a block away from the bustle of Bourbon Street, offering a refuge from the city's wild nightlife.
Should that wild nightlife beckon, you can go for a drink in the many surrounding gay bars like Double Play or The Corner Pocket.
Despite the name and location, this hotel eschews classical design and goes for something more funky and modern. It's almost like waking up in Prince's boudoir. The colours are bold with a purple theme maintained throughout - from the pillows to the lighting.
