Sofitel Luang Prabang is located in what was the former city jail, now converted into a stylish resort retaining both the high boundary walls, watch towers and cell blocks.
The cells are now luxurious guest rooms, all of which have their own private garden. We love the super-high ceilings, huge showers & bath tubs and exceptionally comfortable beds. Excellent high-speed WiFi is available in all areas.
The hotel is comfortably within walking distance of Sisavangvong Road - the heart of Luang Prabang. There are a number of cycles that you can borrow to explore the city.

Sofitel Luang Prabang
Very good location. Very gay friendly staff. Rooms are a bit dark due as there are not that main windows, but not really a big problem as most of th e day time we were out.
